That’s not a bad thing – plenty of people like a firmer feel in their running shoes – but it did lead to a fair amount of disconnect and confusion. With shoes like the new On Cloudeclipse, that’s all changing. Helion superfoam and double Cloudtec phase make this shoe as soft and cushioned as they come with enough structure and responsiveness to create an enjoyable ride. This new shoe from On picks up on trends we’ve seen in a few of their more popular recent releases like the Cloudmonster and Cloudsurfer. Namely, we’re seeing softer shoes from the brand with higher levels of cushioning. The softness of the Cloudeclipse’s double Cloudtec phase is balanced by a partial X-shaped Speedboard that adds structure to the shoe and prevents the foot from getting lost in all the cushion. It combines the energy of the Cloudmonster with the softness of the Cloudsurfer for a running shoe that delivers both cushion and bounce that make running fun day after day.
